I believe woman is the essence of Man’s soul.
This is what I have tried to express in my continuation of Adam.
I feel Man is not whole without Woman.
Take out the woman, and the man is void.
My wife, Giovanna, is the essence of my soul. I cannot even imagine life without her.

HOGAR DULCE HOGAR
Intento reflejar mis sentimientos en todas mis esculturas y a menudo hablo del amor y de la amistad. Sin embargo, un artista no puede quedarse al margen del mundo que lo rodea. Cuando, en los años venideros, la gente vea mi trabajo, quiero que vean que estaba en el presente y no encerrado en un mundo creativo, aislado de los acontecimientos y las luchas del día a día. Al retratar diferentes aspectos de temas particulares, espero poder quizá influir en el modo de pensar y actuar de la gente.
Hogar dulce hogar expresa mi absoluta convicción de que abusar de alguien más débil es un comportamiento vil e imperdonable. Cada día oímos o leemos sobre mujeres y niños maltratados o asesinados por seres inhumanos y podridos, el hombre puede ser muy cruel. Muchas de esas mujeres y niños depositan su confianza en el maltratador, pero resulta ser que la persona que creían que los protegía se convierte en su verdugo. Tu hogar debería ser un lugar seguro al que anhelas regresar aunque desafortunadamente, muy a menudo lo que se supone que debería ser un acogedor nido de amor, se convierte en un afilado laberinto de dolor.
HOME SWEET HOME
I try to reflect my feelings in all of my sculptures, and many times I talk of love and friendship. Yet an artist cannot remain oblivious to the surrounding world. When people look at my work in years to come I want them to see that I was present and not in a creative cocoon, isolated from everyday events and struggles. By portraying different aspects of particular issues I hope that I can perhaps influence people’s way of thinking and acting.
Home Sweet Home expresses my absolute conviction that abusing a weaker person is vile and unforgivable behaviour. Every day we hear or read of women and children abused or killed by rotten, inhumane creatures. Men can be so cruel: Many of the women and children put their trust in the abuser, but the one person they thought would protect them turns out to be their executioner. Your home should be the place of safety you long to come back to; unfortunately, too often what is supposed to be a soft and loving nest turns out to offer only a barbed tangle of pain.

LA FUERZA DE LA NATURALEZA II
Los humanos pensamos en nosotros como seres supremos, por encima del resto y con el control absoluto de nuestro destino y nuestro entorno. Vivimos en un falso sentimiento de seguridad del que solo nos despierta la furia de la Madre Naturaleza, para recordarnos su presencia y nuestra responsabilidad hacia su hija [La Tierra].
Tras haber visto el destrozo de la costa de Tailandia y el huracán que afectó el sur de los Estados Unidos, decidí crear esta escultura dedicada a la Madre naturaleza.; en recuerdo de las primeras estatuas hechas en honor a los Dioses como una ofrenda, con la esperanza de apagar su cólera.
En lo esencial, no somos muy distintos hoy de cómo lo éramos miles de años atrás. Aún nos empeñamos en buscar símbolos para evadir nuestro destino.
THE FORCE OF NATURE II
We humans think of ourselves as supreme beings, above all others and in absolute control of our destiny and our surroundings. We live with a false sense of security only to be awakened by Mother Nature’s fury, almost as if she needs to remind us of her presence and our responsibility towards her child (The Earth).
After having seen the ravaged coast of Thailand and the Hurricane that affected the Southern States I decided to create a sculpture dedicated to Mother Nature. This would be reminiscent of the early statues made as peace offerings to the Gods in the hope of quenching their anger.
In essence, people are not very different today from the people who lived thousands of years ago. We still devote ourselves to symbols in order to escape our destiny.
